Here in Louisville, for several months each year, we live, eat and breathe basketball. This year more so than others, as we watched our own University of Louisville Cardinals win the NCAA championship.
U of L fans have grown very fond of one of the team’s shining players, Peyton Siva, Jr. And if you watched the games this season, you couldn’t have missed the enthusiastic shows of support from one particular fan on the sidelines, Peyton’s father.
Mr. Siva has reason to celebrate far beyond the championship. As the guest speaker for our 2013 Christmas in September, Peyton Siva Sr. shared the powerful story of his spiral into drug and alcohol additions and jail time, and his transformation with the help of his family and the grace of God.
Prodigal Ministries has been meeting the needs of ex-offenders, like Mr. Siva, since 1994. Our ministry was founded on the realization that the best hope for these men and women is transformation through Jesus Christ. Almost all of Prodigal Ministries’ clients have drug and alcohol addictions. It is a spiritual disease affecting their physical, emotional and social well-being. This disease has left them lost from God, from family, and from society. Reaching them is the priority of Prodigal’s ministry.
We thank you for your support of our work and welcome your involvement.
