History

Prodigal Ministries grew from the dream of an ex-offender. During eight years of incarceration, he observed a high number of former offenders returning to prison for the second, third or more times. It was his dream to offer hope and help to former prisoners upon their release so that they could make a fresh start and live a meaningful life. In 1994, he and a small group of caring community leaders, founded Prodigal Ministries which has grown from a non-residential mentoring program to four transitional homes in Jefferson and Oldham Counties.
